A movie’s poster is one frame of 
the movie that appears in other programs or windows when a visual example of the movie is shown. 

For example, if you paste a movie into a word-processing document, the poster appears where you pasted the movie whenever that document is displayed or printed.

The movie’s poster also appears in the Open dialog box when you click a movie in the list of files.
